Torvalds Tweaks 2.6

Linux creator Linus Torvalds has unveiled the latest update--albeit a minor one--to the Linux kernel. Designated 2.6.10, the new release incorporates a host of minor fixes and upgrades to the 2.6 kernel. According to a message Torvalds sent to an Internet mailing list that tracks kernel developments, the update consists "mostly of a lot of small fixes...with the biggest thing being probably the CIFS [Common Internet File System] update and the switch-over to the new DVB [digital video broadcast] front-end driver."

The updated kernel can be downloaded for free from www.kernel.org.
