Separately, Ingram Micro is offering complete mobile wireless and wireless-networking solutions via the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network and T-Mobile, which operates the largest carrier-owned WiFi network. The agreement marks the first time Sprint and T-Mobile have worked with the channel through a distributor. The partnership gives VARs access to numerous PCS Vision devices, including the PCS Phone by Handspring Treo 300, PCS Connection Card by Novatel Wireless (Merline C201) and PCS Connection Card by Sierra Wireless (AirCard 550). Sprint's enhanced network also gives users access with speeds up to 144 Kbps. T-Mobile will offer multifunctional devices, such as RIM's BlackBerry 5810, Novatel's G100 PC Card, Nokia's 9290 Communicator, T-Mobile's Pocket PC Phone Edition and Handspring's Treo 180 and 270.

ISA Acquisition Expands Daisytek Platform Into Europe
Daisytek International has completed its acquisition of ISA International, a pan-European distributor of computer supplies. The deal combines Daisytek's distribution expertise and financial resources with ISA's pan-European reach, customer relationships and local knowledge. The acquisition makes Daisytek the sole legal and beneficial owner of ISA. Daisytek will issue 140,042 shares of new restricted common stock to ISA shareholders who elected the restricted share offer. The projected combined revenue for fiscal year 2003 will be between $1.8 billion and $1.9 billion.

Amplify.net Goes Global With Westcon
Westcon Group, based in Tarrytown, N.Y., has announced a partnership with Amplify.net, a provider of IP network-amplifying solutions, to distribute Amplify.net's complete line of secured multihoming route expeditors and traffic-management products worldwide. The iSurfJanus-RX secured multihoming product expands network bandwidth and throughput by aggregating multiple WAN links, while providing dynamic inbound and outbound WAN load-balancing and backup.

AltTech Offers Cash-Back Program
Denver-based technology distributor Alternative Technology (AltTech) and Burlingame, Calif.-based Allot Communications, a provider of policy-based edge/infrastructure networking solutions, are offering a new reward program called "Allot of Cash Back." Created specifically for AltTech resellers with volume sales of Allot's products and services, any reseller who purchases $50,000 of Allot products and services through AltTech will receive $750 from Allot. Presently, AltTech distributes Allot's NetEnforcer and NetPolicy bandwidth-management solution. The program ends Dec. 31.

ScanSource Promotes CFO
Greenville, S.C.--based ScanSource, an international distributor of specialty technology products including automatic data-capture and point-of-sale products, has announced the appointment of Jeffery A. Bryson to vice president of administration and investor relations. Bryson, who joined the company in 1994, is currently CFO and has worked in many administrative capacities while supervising both financial and accounting functions. As ScanSource expanded internationally, Bryson chose to focus on the administrative side of his position, including investor relations. His financial responsibilities will be taken over by a new CFO, who will also be on the vice president level. Bryson will serve as interim CFO until an appointment is made.
