Server of Steel

Funk Software has rolled out version 5.0 of its Steel-Belted Radius server. Available in Enterprise and Global Enterprise Editions, the solution helps manage and secure wireless LAN-, remote/VPN- and identity-based (wired 802.1X) networking access. It integrates easily into an enterprise's network infrastructure, regardless of equipment vendor or authentication scheme, and supports Windows XP/2000/NT and Solaris. Cost is $4,995 per server for the Enterprise Edition and $12,000 for the Global Enterprise Edition. The upgrade to the Enterprise Edition costs $1,400; to the Global Enterprise Edition, $3,500.
