VARBusiness Honors Technology Innovation
Attracting a record 500-plus entries, response to the 2005 VARBusiness Technology Innovators Awards is the most successful since its inception three years ago. Judged by an esteemed panel of solution providers, a range of products released between July 2004 and July 2005 were scrutinized for technical creativity, usefulness, "coolness" and overall innovation.
Products fit into 11 different categories, from wireless/mobile to enterprise applications to server-based computing. We have narrowed the field of finalists in each category, as well as an overall product to be named Technology Innovator of the Year. In the following series of stories, get the lowdown on the finalists and an analysis of their respective IT markets.
The winners will be revealed Thursday, Oct. 20, in San Francisco at a special awards dinner event held by VARBusiness. Watch our Web site for updates.
