Avnet Hall-Mark Adds Sarbanes-Oxley Marketing Initiative

To help solution providers find and close opportunities surrounding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Avnet Hall-Mark has launched a regulatory compliance track for its Market Connection program.

The Tempe, Ariz.-based distributor created the Market Connection program in March to help Hewlett-Packard solution providers ensure that what they were offering was what end users needed, according to Eileen Gibson, vice president of HP customer marketing at Avnet Hall-Mark. The first track was developed around open-systems platform migrations. Avnet Hall-Mark plans to add an information life-cycle management track over the next few months, Gibson reported.

Market Connection offers sales, technical and marketing resources in areas considered most likely to generate a sale. For example, the regulatory compliance track outlines the various stages within each regulation issue and expands resellers' current business solutions with a strategy for compliance that includes new go-to-market activities.

The end result is a reduction in the cost of entry for solution providers, which enables them to more rapidly enter a specialized market created by government regulations, according to Gibson.
