APC's overall solution provider satisfaction rating of 80.5 was 11.4 points higher than that of its next closest competitor, Leibert, which scored 69.1. Belkin came in third with 68.6, Tripp Lite fourth with 68.5 and Powerware fifth with 64.5. "They have a huge technology lead in the marketplace and, in my opinion, there is no other provider of data center infrastructure that has mastered the high-quality integration of power, cooling, racking, security and cable management like APC," said Al Lepeau, director of business development for the Mid-Atlantic region at Logicalis, Woodstock, Md. APC, West Kingston, R.I., came up big across all the technical criteria, doing particularly well in serviceability and management features. Its 91.7 technical rating was 14.3 points ahead of Tripp Lite, the runner-up in technical satisfaction. "Superior products and ability for integration with major vendors makes APC stand out above the rest," said John Elam, vice president of Sentinel Technologies, Downers Grove, Ill. "It is their products coupled with great partner programs, hands-on training and great demo pricing that makes it easy to work with them to solve our customers' needs." In channel program satisfaction, APC again swept all the criteria, delivering its best performances in the areas of consistency of channel programs, vendor support and total ROI, and coming in 8.9 points ahead of Belkin, the runner-up. Lepeau said APC has a tremendous deal protection program and rewards Logicalis with the highest discounts for its certifications, sales volume and product expertise. "APC has one of the best channel programs in the industry," he said. ![]() |
