While radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are meant to improve supply-chain management by enabling government agencies to easily and efficiently track inventory, they do little to protect package contents from intrusion, theft or counterfeiting. That's why MIKOH released SecureContainer, which works in conjunction with RFID tags for safe transport of sensitive materials. A single pressure-sensitive seal secures disposable plastic inserts that slide into and lock the container doors. The seal becomes damaged if the container is opened, alerting inspectors and tracking systems to potential tampering. SecureContainer also works with MIKOH's Smart&Secure technology, which uses tamper-evident technology to alert an RFID reader or disable the RFID tag if it's tampered with or moved. Within the container, RFID tags are maintained in consistent positions and orientations to improve reader accuracy even at high speeds.
