Workers began the installation of the equipment in the solutions center several weeks ago. Tech Data chose Cisco to have an exclusive space in the solutions center because of the vendor's leadership role in the channel and because they can provide "end-to-end advanced solutions throughout a variety of applications," Bartlett said.
The distributor has no plans to issue exclusive space to another vendor at this time, he added.
"If we look at unified communications, they provide not only handsets, but all the software and routing and switching infrastructure associated with that solution," Bartlett said.
