Affinity Index: Displays/Monitors

Enemy No More?
Enemy No More?
The Affinity Index finds that Sony claims the healthiest market share in terms of the dollar value of proposals written by VARs and deals closed, as shown in the next few slides. But Sony finished third in the overall Channel Affinity score, with a score of 550 that nestles it in close to fifth place finisher NEC (499), fourth place finisher ViewSonic (535) and second place finisher Hewlett Packard (560). The vendor with the highest score, of 716 -- and, apparently, doing a number of things right for VARs with regard to its displays/monitor channel -- is Dell.

While the vendor is still trying to build market share in the channel, it seems as if the VARs who are selling Dell's displays like what they see.
