Sony, Dell The Deal Closers
Sony and Dell also ranked No. 1 and No. 2 -- and closely, at that -- in IPED's analysis of first-half deals that actually closed, with Sony claiming 27.7 percent of the value of all monitor and display dollars spent from January 1 to June 30. Samsung ranked third with 21.1 percent, and the next four vendors -- HP (6.4 percent), Acer (4.6 percent), ViewSonic (3.5 percent) and NEC (1.4 percent) -- all claimed significantly smaller shares overall.
