Stimulus Implications
Davis said Infax isn't directly involved with any projects being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). But as a subcontractor on Amtrak, he is seeing indirect business thanks to the stimulus -- if ARRA funds aren't specifically allocated for computer-based signage, the types of implementations Infax does see benefit under the broader umbrella of "transportation modernization."
"We get so far down the food chain on a lot of these that we don't know where the money comes from -- we're a sub of a sub of a sub," Davis said. "But our reputation is there. We've worked all over the world with this technology."
