Lenovo Monday unveiled three desktops and three laptops, including a notebook with the Intel Core i7 processor. All of the new offerings have the Windows 7 operating system and are slated to be released in November.

The IdeaPad Y550P notebook runs on an Intel Pentium dual-core 2.1GHz, T4300 processor in base mode but can be configured up to Intel Core i7, with up to 8 GB of memory and a 500-GB hard drive.

The laptop also has an Nvidia GeForce GT 240M GPU; 15.6-inch HD wide screen (1,366 x 768 resolution); Dolby Home Theater surround sound; and proprietary Lenovo tools such as SlideNav, a touch-sensitive bar located above the keyboard that makes it easier and quicker to navigate programs, documents and shortcuts. Pricing starts at $550 for a starter configuration up to $1,399 for the Intel Core i7 model.

The other two laptops include the IdeaPad U150 and the U550.

The IdeaPad U150 is 13.5mm thick, weighs in at less than 3 pounds and has an 11.6-inch HD wide-screen display. An Intel Core 2 Duo processor provides up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory, and there's also OneKey Rescue System, Version 7.0 that backs up data twice as fast and includes stronger antivirus scanning that can be run even before loading the operating system. Pricing begins at $585.

The U550 is 24mm thick and has a 15.6-inch HD wide-screen display and Intel's Core 2 Duo processor. There's also Dolby Sound Room surround; an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts screen brightness based on light conditions; and an integrated DVD drive. The U550 has an integrated fingerprint reader and VeriFace facial recognition software. The laptop starts at $650.

On the desktop side and aimed at gamers, the IdeaCentre B500 has the Intel Core 2 quad processor with discrete graphics, up to 8 GB DDR3 memory and 1 TB of HDD storage space. Other features include a 23-inch HD display; integrated JBL speakers; a 4-in-1 remote control; VoIP handset; air mouse; CamSuite Webcam tools; and media remote. Prices start at $649.

The IdeaCentre K300 all-in-one desktop with the Intel Core 2 quad processor includes high-performance RAID configured hard drives for added storage, discrete graphics, up to 8 GB DDR3 memory and 1 TB HDD storage space. Pricing ranges from $499 to $1,999.

Finally, the Lenovo H230 desktop with Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 processor has a consumer-friendly price tag of $449 and has a range of HDD and DDR3 memory configurations. Other features include a DVD writer, optional Wi-Fi connectivity, and Lenovo's Rescue System antivirus system.
