Monitor brand AOC is aiming for the no. 2 spot in the Indian monitor market. According to Saurabh Grover DGM, Sales and Marketing, AOC India, We are now the no. 3 monitor brand in India, having retained this position for the last two quarters. As per IDC Indias Q1 2009 report, AOC had 19 percent market share which increased to 21 percent in Q2. Our aim is to further consolidate our market position to reach the second spot by the end of 2009.

Panache has appointed Akash Sutane to head its Small Form Factor (SFF) and Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF) products. As VP, Thin Clients division, he will be responsible for the marketing, branding and sales of the Panache range of thin client products. Sutane has 11 years of IT industry experience. Prior to joining Panache, he was with Ags Infotech. He has also worked with Sundyne Technologies and Ambika.com.

HP India has said that four of its high selling printerLaserJet M1522mf, CP1215n, P2035n and P2055d will come with three-year warranty as against the standard one-year warranty earlier. The extended warranty scheme is available for purchases made between July 25 and September 30, 2009. Customer can avail this by registering the product at HP website within 15 days of purchase.

Next on Ciscos agenda is the consumer market. Its Consumer Business Group (CBG)formerly known as Linksys by Cisco has established a separate team and defined the products it will take to the market. Suresh Balasubramanian, National Sales Director, India, Cisco Consumer Business Group, said, For our consumer business, we want to make communication a live, visual and more personal experience. We believe that the market is going through a transition phase where consumers want a mediumwhether it is for personal or professional communicationthat is more visual. Our primary aim would be to capture this market transition for growth. This home and small office network products arm will now showcase wireless routers, access points and gateways, home monitoring equipment, graphic cards, and IP cameras.
