E-business integrator Capita Technologies Thursday said it will be acquired by Interpublic Group of Companies.

Specifically, IPG's Draftworldwide unit, an interactive agency specializing in direct response services, is moving to acquire Capita, based here. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Draftworldwide is taking a majority interest in Capita, a nine-year-old systems integrator that in recent months has reshaped itself into a force to be reckoned with.

Capita employs some 400 people; its clients include Morgan Stanley, Xerox and Hachette Publishing.

Draftworldwide, Chicago, said Capita will continue to operate as an autonomous unit under CEO Jeff Kvam.
