Merisel Open Computing Alliance Inc. (MOCA) this week announced an alliance with IBM Corp. to support enterprise partners selling e-commerce and business intelligence solutions.
MOCA also announced the creation of its Premier Partners program to provide financial assistance and business development, training and marketing services to partners.
"This alliance with MOCA is an integral part of IBM's commitment to provide resellers with multiplatform, dynamic e-business solutions," says Wally Casey, vice president of IBM Software's worldwide partner sales. "Through MOCA's network of resellers, both on board today and those who join as a result of this initiative, IBM realizes a major opportunity to further penetrate the Sun marketplace."
The MOCA alliance also provides partners with support resources, including a dedicated IBM group to assist Sun resellers selling IBM database solutions, IBM Brand specialists to provide technical and sales expertise at the local level and IBM e-business certifications.
"Resellers must be able to provide an array of services to complement their customers' e-business investments," says David Ochser, vice president of enterprise product sales and business development for MOCA. "With the power of IBM's innovative middleware and comprehensive Business Partner programs, MOCA resellers will reap the rewards of quality solutions and high-touch services."
