Managed hosting and outsourcing services provider Cervalis this week announced the appointment of hosting industry veteran William A. Jandovitz as its CEO.

Jandovitz comes to the company with more than 30 years experience in the financial and hi-tech industries. Before coming to Cervalis, Jandovitz was CEO of managed hosting and co-location services provider CO Space, which was purchased by InterNap. Before that, he was a vice president at Fidelity Ventures, focusing on the ISP, software and CLEC space.

"Cervalis' advanced offerings and delivery approach, emphasizing quality service and value, symbolize the future of managed hosting and IT outsourcing," said Jandovitz in a statement. "The company has assembled a well-experienced team of IT and product development professionals. As a result, we're well positioned to capitalize on the market demand for managed solutions and customized applications."

The company, which specializes in outsourced IT infrastructure and managed hosting, currently runs two data centers--here and in Dutchess County, N.Y.

The company's main backer is LPL Investment Group.
