Version 2.3 of iAnywhere's Mobile Sales -- a customer relationship management (CRM) package -- lets companies configure the user interface to better fit it to their own sales processes. Other tweaks include new key performance indicators that make it easier for enterprises to gauge the success of their mobile deployments.
The upgrade is free to existing Mobile Sales users.
Also on Monday, iAnywhere and Intel rolled out a developer's kit that includes several software packages from the former and hardware provided by the latter. The Wi-Fi Toolkit, aimed at smaller-sized firms that want to test the mobile application waters, is priced at around $3,500.
Among the components of the Toolkit are SQL Anywhere Studio, iAnywhere's database for mobile environments; Pylon Anywhere, software for extending Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange to wireless devices; an HP notebook and an HP handheld that are wireless-enabled; and a Cisco wireless access point.
