Bamberger started his company, which focuses on network infrastructure services, with $50,000 of his own money and another $50,000 from employees. He transitioned the products-centric organization to a services-centric company around 1996. At the time, the product sales-to-services sales ratio was 4:1. Just one year later, the hardware mix dropped to 42 percent of overall revenue, while sales remained steady around $30 million. By 1999, Sequoia's services sales soared to 85 percent of overall revenue. Today, revenues top nearly $70 million.

In 1981, Mark Stellini joined his family's data-processing company and today guides the company's overall growth and direction for all its divisions. He has been responsible for changing the company's focus from mainframe computes to PCs and for diversifying and expanding the company's services to include system design, telecommunications and training. These innovative ideas have allowed Stellini to build the company from $2 Million to more than $80 Million.

Dupler has been a vital member of Amherst throughout his 11-year tenure with the Company, beginning with his rapid rise through the sales and marketing management ranks. Under Dupler's sales leadership, Amherst grew from $21 million in 1993 to $63 million in 1996. During this growth period, Dupler was intimately involved in the evolution and development of Amherst's technology platform, training and development programs and sales systems. In 1997, Dupler was appointed executive vice president and COO, then president and CEO in 1998.
