A company spokeswoman said the move was a "natural evolution" since the ASP and Qwest's hosting division offer complimentary services.
Many ASPs hosting packaged applications, however, have closed down, shifted strategy or filed for bankruptcy. For example, USinternetworking, which offers a similar set of applications, filed for bankruptcy, and Interliant opted to sell off its ERP and CRM practices.
CyberSolutions was formed in 1999 by KPMG and Qwest Communications. Last year, KPMG pulled out of CyberSolutions leaving Qwest the sole owner.
Signs of a possible merger with Qwest's hosting division emerged late last year when Qwest turned over its Exchange hosting business and customers to CyberSolutions.
CyberSolutions CEO John Charters, who has been with the ASP since it was formed, is stepping down for personal reasons.
Doug Stone, senior vice president of strategic business development and alliances at Qwest, is taking over as president of CyberSolutions.
