How channel markets fare in different geographies

Across the country, VARs are optimistic about their business in the coming year. Many see strong potential in wireless, security, storage, desktops and laptops, VoIP and document management. More than one-third of VARs anticipate that their revenue will climb more than 15 percent.

And that's just the national trend. In the Northeast, solution providers' database management software is hot, while business intelligence is big in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. Services make up more than one-half of VARs' revenue in the Southwest and West, but are least profitable in to other regions: the South and Mid-Atlantic.
