CDW sales increased 17 percent in the fourth fiscal quarter and 20 percent in 2007, according to the Vernon Hills, Ill.-based solution provider.

CDW was purchased for $7.3 billion and taken private by Madison Dearborn Partners and Providence Equity Partners last year, but will continue to release its revenue numbers, according to John Edwardson, chairman and CEO. The company did not release its net income figures for the quarter or fiscal year. The Madison Dearborn deal was closed Oct. 12, 2007, after being announced May 29 that year.

Revenue increased to $2.13 billion in the fourth quarter, up from $1.82 billion in the year-ago quarter. For the year, CDW reported $8.15 billion in sales, up from $6.79 billion in sales in 2006.

"These sales results reflect the exceptional work of our coworkers during a year of transition for CDW," Edwardson said in a statement.

The company did not break out revenue by division or product category in its release, but it noted that daily sales in October were up 15 percent, in November were up 13.7 percent and in December were up 22.7 percent.
