Interop, North America's largest business technology event, was held from May 18 to 21 in Las Vegas. Hundreds of vendors converged on the show floor to show off their wares, proving that economic uncertainty has done little to stifle tech innovation. Here's a look at some products that made their Interop debuts.

Adtran's NetVanta 1544 family of switches:

The new line of Layer 3, Gigabit aggregation switches includes Fibre, PoE and non-PoE models, and bridges the gap between 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps to hit midmarket enterprises looking for higher bandwidth aggregation hardware at an affordable price point.

Force 10 Networks' ExaScale E600 virtualized switch/router:

This monster delivers 10/100/1000Base-T density for midsize chassis and can cut power consumption by up to 70 percent per port, the industry's lowest consumption rate.

Xirrus' Rapid Deployment Wi-Fi Array Kit:

Aimed at disaster response, temporary events or conference applications, the kit is an on-the-spot Wi-Fi network when and where it's needed. The $4,999 kit includes an XS4 (four-radio) Wi-Fi array, supporting up to 256 users with a single cable drop; an XP-MSI power injector; an XE-2500 snap-on cover for weather protection; a 100-foot CAT 5E cable; a mounting tripod; and two industrial-strength carrying cases.

Infoblox's PortIQ appliance:

The box offers visibility into switch port usage for network capacity planning, security investigations and troubleshooting. The PortIQ appliance helps network administrators identify the physical port associated with every connected device and get reports on network port utilization.

Astaro's Web Gateway:

This virtual appliance offers integrated URL filtering, malware detection, instant messaging and peer-to-peer application control, as well as bandwidth optimization to secure Web access.

SEH's IS D400 for enterprises:

The ISD400 can handle up to 150 printers and 450 users. The 19-inch device is designed for operation in server racks, offering high availability of all printing services by taking over the complete print-spooling function in a network-printing environment.

ATEN Technology's Touch Screen LCD KVM (KL3116T):

This dual-rail LCD KVM switch offers secure access to up to 16 servers with support for either USB or PS/2 in a 1U rack configuration. The new touch-screen model is ATEN's latest addition to its lineup of rack-mount LCD KVM solutions and is part of its ALTSUEN product line.

NEXCOM 's NSA 7110:

The network security appliance is a 2U, 19-inch, rack-mount platform that supports the latest Intel 5520 series, the Tylersburg memory control hub and the Intel ICH10R I/O controller. The NSA 7110 supports a host of IP network applications: firewall, VPN, network load balance, network bandwidth management, antivirus, mail filter and more.

Blade Network Technologies' 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch:

The Blade FCoE-ready 10 Gigabit Ethernet Blade Server Switch is a 24-port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 1 Gigabit/10 Gigabit Ethernet switch that lets enterprises deploy open unified networks. It offers a single network fabric for data and storage (FCoE or iSCSI), 100 Gbps of data center connectivity and up to 480 Gbps of low-latency bidirectional throughput designed for cloud computing.

Mellanox Technologies' ConnectX EN t Dual-Port10GBase-T E-T Network Interface Card (NIC ):

This is a dual-port adapter card for PCIe 2.0 that offers high throughput, low latency and high availability with lower power to accelerate the data center. The ConnectX ENt supports leading virtualization acceleration features such as NetQueue and SR-IOV and I/O consolidation fabrics with Data Center Bridging fabric enhancement and FCoE.
