McCain brings 22 years of business experience to Keane, which ranked 82 on the VAR500 list of North America's top solution providers. McCain is no stranger to the VAR500 companies, having been employed by several of them.
Before his tenure as senior vice president and general manager of HP Services, McCain led HP's consulting and integration business.
Prior to joining HP, McCain was CEO of North America for Cap Gemini (VAR500 #9). He also spent 16 years at the market-leading integrator EDS, which subsequently merged with HP, where he built the CIO Services business. He was president of EDS' E.Solutions business, which developed and delivered consulting, implementation and support offerings.
Keane is privately held and has approximately $1 billion in revenue. McCain told the Wall Street Journal that his job will be to improve that number as well as the Boston-based company's profitability. He went on to say that he plans to boost revenue to the point where Keane is in a "great position to do something" -- which could mean a merger or being acquired in the not-too-distant future.
