Trent Fierro Overview of PCI DSS requirements and how an identity-aware solution can be implemented to manage user and device network access and authentication. PCI DSS V1.2 states proactive security measures for 9 of 12 requirements. Identity and NAC can be used to differentiate access across a network by role, access method (wired, wireless, VPN), and by the type of endpoint. A computer can be given broader access versus a smartphone. Port Scans can also be used to correctly authenticate wireless and wired infrastructure. Rogue AP's can no longer be attached to a network. |
