Tech Data Offers Managed Services With Zenith Infotech

Tech Data has signed a deal to provide Zenith Infotech's hosted managed services platform to solution providers.

The Clearwater, Fla.-based distributor plans to offer: 24x7 monitoring of Windows servers, with or without issue remediation performed by Zenith; 24x7 monitoring of desktops and notebooks for anti-virus updates and spyware detection; monitored and managed data backup and restoration; and help desk support for end users for server, desktop or network problems.

"It's a foregone conclusion that [SMBs] don't have the technology, nor the resources to do [those things]. Zenith provides that seamlessly," said Joe Quaglia, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing at Tech Data. "We've looked at a lot of solutions on the market. Our customers like to believe we put in a sanity check, to make sure they have the right training modules in place, along with the pricing and delivery models that meet the channel requirements."

Tech Data also offers remote-monitoring managed services access through an agreement with N-able Technologies and last month signed a deal to provide print managed services through FMAudit.
