Dell Updates MSP Certification To Include Everdream

Dell plans to host a managed services partner Webinar the week of April 21 to outline updates to its MSP certification program, according to a letter that Dell sent to managed service partners Monday.

The updates include the addition of desktop and device management services acquired through its purchase of Everdream, according to the letter, a copy of which was obtained from Dell.

"This [Everdream] technology is exciting as it enables our partners to offer new and expanded product sets consisting of software distribution, patch management, remote asset discovery, asset management, data encryption, online backup, software licensing and remote administration to our partners' vast base of desktop and notebook systems," according to the letter, signed by Greg Davis, vice president and general manager of Dell's Americas Channel Group, and Michael Menegay, global director of Dell Managed Services.

Current Everdream partners who register before May 15 will be grandfathered into Dell's MSP desktop remote management certification program, according to the company.

Partner certifications increased 400 percent in four months for Dell's first MSP partner certification, based on enterprise monitoring services, according to the company.

"We look forward to similar results with the expansion of the program utilizing Dell's desktop and remote device management services platform technology," Davis and Menegay wrote in the letter.

Dell also stated it would be starting a limited pilot in Dallas selling small businesses basic remote monitoring and remediation services using Dell's enterprise monitoring services.

"We'll continue to communicate and work with partners to further develop the channel offering that will compliment Dell's small-business managed service offering. There will also be opportunities for partners to participate in the pilot, and we will provide details in the coming months," according to the letter.
