EBay’s purchase of Skype has reinforced the belief that PC-based VoIP call usage is bound to explode. Solution providers can leverage that marriage with USRobotics’ USB Internet Phone.

The device simply plugs into a PC’s USB port and then acts as a standard phone—but uses the Skype service instead of traditional telco lines. All Skype-to-Skype calls are free, and Skype also offers minute plans for those calling traditional phones. The product eliminates the complexity of PC-based microphones and headsets, plugs into any Internet-connected PC and immediately connects to the Skype servers.
