CA said Monday a federal judge has dismissed all pending charges against the company relating to the accounting scandal that resulted last November in former CEO Sanjay Kumar being sentenced to a 12-year prison term.

U.S. Judge I. Leo Glasser dismissed the charges after an independent examiner issued a report May 1 that found CA had complied with the terms of a 2004 Deferred Prosecution Agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.

"Our efforts won't stop because we have met the requirements of the DPA," the company's CEO, John Swainson, said in a statement. "We will continue to demand a high level of transparency, ethical behavior and integrity from our entire organization."

One CA partner, Tom Lambro, vice president of Denalia Advanced Integration, said he's seen a comprehensive change in CA's leadership over the past two years. "They've been doing proper practices since Swainson's been in office," he said. "Every deal is scrutinized and every deal has been by the book."

"They've always had good products. Now they've got good leadership," Lambro said. "Their house is definitely in order."
