Scoring Vendors
Solution providers were asked to score vendors in 15 different categories, and also to weigh each of the categories in terms of importance. In network security, solution providers chose the cost/time to change/add vendors, end customers' brand preference and whether vendor projects could achieve their targets as the most important factors, each scoring 10 percent of the total score.
Meanwhile, technical training was picked as the least valuable of the 15 factors. VARs gave it only 3 percent of the total score.
