Cisco Leads With Largest Total Proposed Deals
Of all the network security vendors surveyed, network security giant Cisco Systems accounted for the highest dollar figure for proposed deals, totaling $259 million, during the first half of 2008, which averaged $11,900 per proposal. Microsoft came in second, with a total of $225 million in proposed deals from January through June, and averaging about $8,300. And although security company McAfee came in a distant third in total proposed dollars, with $113 million, average deal sizes for McAfee partners appeared to be larger than both competitors, averaging $19,900 per transaction.
