Cisco Closes The Deals
Once again, Cisco Systems swept away the competition when it came to deals its partners closed. Not surprisingly, partners said that deals closed for the network security giant accounted for the highest dollar figure during the first half of 2008, totaling $190 million (or 23.4 percent of all deals closed), and averaging about $10,000 per closed deal.
While Microsoft came in second in terms of total dollar amounts for deals closed during the first half of the year, with $131 million (16.2 percent of total closed deals), average size of partner deals was the lowest of the top 10 surveyed vendors, coming in at $5,500.
