Microsoft Releases Office Communicator To Manufacturing

Office Communicator is the real-time presence interface for the Microsoft Office product lineup, and is one of the keystone products in Microsoft's upcoming presence-based collaboration strategy. The product is closely linked to Live Communications server 2005, and supports instant messaging applications along with overall presence awareness.

Office Communicator also integrates telephony systems, including VoIP and real-time and unified communications elements of other current and future Microsoft Office products.
