Computer Associates Launches Research Effort

The combined business and academic effort will be led by Gabriel Silberman, CA senior vice president and head of CA Labs, the firm said. The company added that CA Labs will fund additional academic research.

“The creation of CA Labs formalizes and accelerates our efforts in working with academic research organizations and industry standards bodies to ensure that we are developing the most innovative systems and security management solution,” said Yogesh Gupta, CA&'s chief technology officer, in a statement.

Silberman joined Computer Associates from IBM where he was program director of the company&'s Centers for Advanced Studies.
