Autodesk Names New CEO

Bartz led the firm as it emerged from start-up status to become a $1.5 billion giant in its field.

Bartz and Bass swapped praise for each other with Bartz observing that Bass "is one of the most respected executives in this industry and has played an integral leadership role in Autodesk's success."

Bass said that Bartz' "strong and decisive leadership" propelled the firm to its current strong position. In her new position, Bartz will focus on Autodesk international markets, particularly in emerging markets including China, India, and Eastern Europe.
