Candle is expanding Linux support in its enterprise management products with PathWAI Monitor for WebSphere MQ and Omegamon XE.

Candle said that PathWAI Monitor for WebSphere MQ for Linux provides control and availability across the WebSphere MQ application infrastructure.

The Omegamon XE for 64-bit Linux is intended for technical managers testing applications. Omegamon XE monitors system characteristics such as disk inode, disk use, file-system and network connections.

Omegamon XE supports SuSE and Red Hat distributions for zSeries and S/390 systems; it also supports other Linux versions at the 2.4.X kernel level.

Candle said its enterprise Linux offerings coincide with the new Linux 2.6 kernel, which provides additional multi-processor support and scalability.

Both products will be available in September. 2003. PathWAI Monitor for WebSphere MQ starts at $20,000, which includes installation and training. Omegamon XE starts at $750 for distributed systems and $7,500 for S/390 systems.
