Arrow's SBM Division Launches PowerLinux Program

Linux

The PowerLinux program was designed to complement HP's Linux Elite Partner Program by providing marketing, training, technical services, products and ISV partnerships for HP Linux Elite authorized solution providers through SBM, an HP-focused division of Arrow Electronics based in Atlanta.

Arrow Electronics has formed a Quarterly Linux Advisory Council of five HP Linux Elite partners and PowerLinux was introduced at the council's first meeting.

"PowerLinux provides a roadmap for HP Linux sales, preparing resellers for future HP technology by providing everything from lead generation to a training boot camp," said Charlie McPherson, vice president of sales and marketing at SBM.

PowerLinux includes a series of Linux O/S and HP certification boot camp that will begin in the fourth quarter; marketing support that includes sales roadmaps, sales training, public relations, advertising and sales collateral; technical support including pre-sales consultation, hardware and software design, solution configuration and Linux cluster services from Arrow's Linux specialists; events for solution providers and ISVs to foster partnerships; and access to the entire SuSE Linux Enterprise Server product line.
