IBM Upgrades WebSphere Integration Software

The two software products, Business Integration Modeler and Monitor, enable business managers to view events and activities across an enterprise, and to be alerted to problems. Manufacturers, for example, can use the tools to monitor business processes associated with supply chains, such as on-time shipments of goods, or whether production goals are on track.

Version 4.2.4 of both products, unveiled Monday, includes tighter integration with the WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker.

In addition, high-level business-process models created in Modeler can be exported into IBM's Rational application design and development tools. Support in the upgrades for WebSphere Portal enables users to create customizable portlets for different monitor views.
