Oracle Recognizes 17 Channel Partners With Its Titan Awards

Honoring the best of the best, Oracle has awarded 17 of its channel partners its Oracle North American Titan Awards, recognizing the companies for their success in developing and implementing industry solutions based on Oracle database, middleware and application software.

This year, the fourth year the Oracle PartnerNetwork has awarded the trophies at the Oracle OpenWorld show, 20 awards were presented to 17 companies in 19 categories. This year's nominations (Oracle did not disclose the number) were evaluated by 65 judges, including industry analysts and media " including from the CMP Channel Group -- as well as Oracle sales, marketing and development executives.

The Titan Awards are yet another example that Oracle is devoting more attention to its channel partners, in contrast to its many years of aggressively pursuing direct sales, and the value they bring to the company. "This is not the Oracle of 10 years ago," said Rauline Ochs, senior vice president of North America alliances and channels, in a presentation to channel partners here at the Oracle OpenWorld conference.
