Adobe Expands Its Web Experience Management Offerings

The new 5.4 release incorporates Day Software's CQ5 content management applications, along with social collaboration, marketing campaign management and digital asset management tools, the company said Tuesday.

Adobe acquired Switzerland-based Day Software in August for about $240 million.

Also new in 5.4 is CQ5 Mobile, a set of tools for customizing and repurposing content for display across a wide range of mobile devices. And the new CQ5 Marketing Campaign Management module helps businesses plan and roll out multi-channel marketing campaigns using Web, mobile applications, social communities, social media and other channels.

The 5.4 release also updates several CQ5 modules, including CQ5 Social Collaboration which now offers a "forums" capability for exchanging information within and outside an organization. And Adobe has more tightly integrated the CQ Targeting module within Adobe's Online Marketing Suite -- the latter made up of the SiteCatalyst and Test&Target tools Adobe acquired in October 2009 when it bought Omniture for $1.8 billion
