Apple Wednesday said that its Worldwide Developer Conference will be held June 10-14, with tickets going on sale Thursday.
The annual event, which Apple uses to showcase its OS X and iOS operating systems, will be held at San Francisco Moscone West Convention Center. Apple said this year's WWDC will have more than 100 technical sessions hosted by more than 1,000 Apple engineers to help developers learn about "the future of iOS and OS X."

"We look forward to gathering at WWDC 2013 with the incredible community of iOS and OS X developers," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing. "Our developers have had the most prolific and profitable year ever, and we're excited to show them the latest advances in software technologies and developer tools to help them create innovative new apps. We can't wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X into their hands at WWDC."
This year's WWDC could be the official unveiling of iOS 7, as Apple first introduced the current iOS 6 mobile OS at last year's event. The 2012 WWDC also saw Apple release new details about Mac OS X 10.8, or Mountain Lion, which was released last June.
Apple said WWDC 2013 will feature staples such as hands-on labs with code-level assistance for developers, plus Apple Design Awards, which celebrate the top apps for iPhones, iPads and Macs.
Tickets for the event will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. PDT on Apple's website. The price of admission for WWDC 2013 is $1,599.
