Ingram Micro Loses More Executives

The departing executives are Pat Capparelli, senior vice president of U.S. sales; Dave Walsh, vice president of marketing; and Murray Wright, general manager and vice president of sales for Canada, according to the Santa Ana, Calif.-based distributor. Walsh and Wright are leaving immediately, and Capparelli is slated to leave next month.

Brian Wiser, senior vice president of marketing, has been named senior vice president of sales for North America, Ingram Micro said. Paul Bay, senior vice president of vendor management, will take on responsibilities for Canada. Mark Snider has been named vice president of sales for Canada.

"From a back-office point of view, our region has begun operating as a multinational company," Ingram Micro North America President Keith Bradley said in a statement. "Having a focused management team to drive consistent business strategies and implement best practices across borders and throughout our business will be a key component to our success."

Earlier in the week, Ingram Micro confirmed that Geno Marcoux, vice president of vendor management, is leaving the company to join Juniper Networks, where he will join fellow ex-Ingramer Donna Grothjan.

The moves come a month after Greg Spierkel was promoted to replace Kent Foster as CEO, effective June 1, and Kevin Murai was named president and COO.

Capparelli had been with Ingram Micro for less than a year, after joining Ingram Micro from Purolator Courier, a Mississauga, Ontario-based overnight courier, where he was a close associate of Murai when Murai ran Canadian operations for the distributor.

The integration of Ingram's U.S. and Canada operations began three years ago with back-office operations. The integration of the sales and marketing teams was the next step, according to Bradley. "By successfully integrating our U.S. and Canadian organizations, we can effortlessly engage customers and vendors in regional business opportunities and fuel the great work we're doing against our profitable growth objectives," he said in a statement.
