McAfee Lowers Q4 Guidance

McAfee Monday warned that it expects to post a fourth-quarter earnings of 16 cents to 20 cents per share on revenue of about $254 million. <P> The Santa Clara Calif.-based security vendor in October projected fourth quarter earnings of 33 cents to 39 cents per share on revenue of $255 million to $280 million. Excluding charges, McAfee forecast it would earn 25 cents to 27 cents per share for the quarter. During the same quarter a year ago, McAfee posted net earnings of $38.7 million, or 24 cents a share, on revenue of $244 million. <P> McAfee is slated to post final results Feb. 9.
