Loyalty solutions? Sounds far-fetched, but Netcentives may soon make it a common term among executives, much like e-business solutions.
Netcentives, a San Francisco-based marketing solution provider founded in 1993, recently launched its Employee Reward System, a customizable solution that lets corporations reward employees in real-time through a Web-based network. Nortel Networks has already implemented the new system for more than 70,000 employees worldwide.
"Up to now, employee reward programs have either been paper-based or limited geographically by technology and supplier networks," says West Shell, chairman and CEO of Netcentives. "Our technology and expertise in loyalty networks has allowed us to break through these restrictions."
Netcentives has enjoyed a breakthrough in the industry as well. Last month, the company saw a 492 percent increase in revenue one year after going public, announcing third quarter revenue of nearly $12 million and a net loss that beat Wall Street predictions.
Netcentives also has a benefit program with America Online and American Airlines called AOL AAdvantage Rewards.
