Solution Providers Score in Health Care Vertical

EYT, the solution provider formerly known as Ernst and Young Technologies, announced Tuesday that it has been chosen by North American Medical Management (NAMM) California to provide managed services for its Microsoft Great Plains eEnterprise financial system. The solution provider migrated the group's financial system to its hosting facilities in Chantilly, Va., and it will provide support and services through its EYT Microsoft Great Plains consulting team.

EYT says the infrastructure will give NAMM California, which includes a base of 24 independent physician associations made up of about 2,500 affiliated physicians, customized business management functionality, reporting capabilities and real-time information access.

In addition, outsourcing solution provider ACS says it signed a seven-year IT outsourcing agreement with Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, in Honolulu, Hawaii. As part of that contract, the hospital's existing IT personnel will be transitioned to ACS, and the solution provider will assume all CIO responsibilities for the hospital, including the integration of technology, applications, and business processes.

Finally, health care consulting and services firm Covansys announced it has been selected by the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council to provide HIPAA education services to its 130 members organizations.
