iAnywhere Teams With Casio For Mobile Developer Program

The companies on Monday unveiled Jump Start for Casio, a program that combines mobile development tools and technical support from iAnywhere, a subsidiary of Sybase, with provisioning support from Casio.

The program includes a $99 subscription to iAnywhere's SQL Anywhere Studio, a platform to develop mobile and wireless solutions. It also includes discounts on Casio's Cassiopeia handhelds for evaluation, as well as technical support from iAnywhere.

Casio, which invested $5 million in iAnywhere last year, is providing the provisioning support for the program. The company plans to custom configure its Cassiopeia handhelds with iAnywhere software and ship the devices directly to customers.

"We're trying to provide a one-stop set-up source and information for developing mobile and wireless solutions," said Jan Jaworsky, director of marketing at iAnywhere Solutions.

The Jump Start for Casio program is available to developers and iAnywhere's integrator and VAR partners.
