Catalyst Telecom Launches Avaya IP Office Configuration Tool

The tool was developed by Greenville-based Catalyst Telecom's technical services team. It allows solution providers to develop and configure IP Office converged communications solutions for SMB customers.

To use the tool, solution providers fill out a form outlining a customer's needs. The configurator designs the system, including necessary components, and generates a price quote within seconds, said Catalyst Telecom executives.

The distributor, a subsidiary of ScanSource, will supplement the tool with technical support staff.

"[The configurator gives our customers a lot of freedom--the freedom to customize their own solutions and the freedom to spend time focusing on building their businesses instead of configuring systems," said Farrar Pittman, vice president of sales at Catalyst Telecom, in a statement.

Pittman said the tool "allows us to be more responsive to our customers' changing needs and to offer them enough options to create solutions that are right for them."
