Linksys, Verizon Link Up To Offer SMBs High-Speed Wireless Connections

The router is based on Wi-Fi (801.11b) technology and Internet sharing functionality.

A single DSL connection is wirelessly shared among several computers and resources such as printers, scanners and files within a LAN.

"You can extend DSL connections between floors, down hallways and even outdoors," said Richard Herbst, director of business marketing for Verizon Advanced Services, in a statement. "You can set up wireless networks in older buildings that aren't wired for the Internet age."

Verizon Online if offering a $100 rebate on the basic DSL service with 768 Kbps downstream and 128 Kbps upstream. SMBs ordering connection speeds of 1.5Mbps or faster receive a $180 rebate.
