SBC Makes Data Services Push

The services include new frame relay, ATM and private-line services that will be offered on a national basis.

These services, along with new alternate routing and disaster-recovery offerings, are backed by service level agreements.

The standardized services will be consistently priced across the regions it serves, said the RBOC.

SBC is seeking regulatory approval to offer long-distance services, including a range of data and IP transport services, in its region. The company also expects to finish the national expansion of its data network by mid-2003, which would allow it to serve customers in 50 major cities.
