Ingram Micro To Offer Netarx

Through Ingram Micro, solution providers can enroll in the Netarx Channel Partner program, which includes access to a Netarx co-branded network monitoring service, a lead-creation program, a supply chain sales portal to effectively manage and drive network monitoring business, pre- and post-sales assistance and a monthly recurring revenue stream.

Bingham Farms, Mich.-based Netarx said Ingram Micro's solution providers can provide better coverage in the United States for its network monitoring offering. Netarx sold directly to end users for more than two years before creating a channel program at the beginning of this year. It recruited its own solution providers until it finalized the deal with Ingram Micro.

"Distribution has a lot more reach than we could ever get ourselves," said Duane Tursi, co-founder and president of Netarx. "We're striving to be more than 70 percent through the channel. The biggest reason is [solution providers already have good relationships with their customers' networks. Resellers have what Netarx is looking for. Their customers are already comfortable with them."

The Netarx system allows solution providers to continuously monitor customers' networks through a Netarx sensor unit installed on an end user's network and connected securely via the Internet to a 24x7 central monitoring system. The system detects, notifies and reports network incidents and also offers advice on how to fix them, according to Netarx.

In addition to Netarx, Ingram Micro has a remote network management partnership with Exenet Technologies and recently signed a deal with Data Systems Worldwide to offer managed services, said Dave Madden, services and wireless category manager at the distributor.

Solution providers can make a "mid-double-digit margin" selling Netarx services, Madden said.
