The program, announced before several thousand partners here at Fusion 2002, also provides discounts on Microsoft software for internal use by the partner, said Burgum.

Burgum also pointed out that the first piece of the Microsoft Business Framework developer toolkit will be available this month, with a final release slated for the end of the year.

Burgum urged ISVs and partners to "start thinking about how that fits into your future development plans."
